Both of them seen here with my Shahien, hehe...
Shahien and Aunty Ili! Aunty Ili so pweettyyyyyy..... And Shahien looking dazed and confused, lol!!!
Looking at my son's picture, made me feel whole. I love him to bits, and would not let anything bad happen to him. I guess that's how mothers would feel towards their children.
Time flies so fast that Shahien is going to turn 6 months old this coming 5th March. Sometimes I wish time would move a little bit slower so that I can enjoy watching him grow in front of my eyes. At other times I wish that time would go faster so that I can see him walk/talk as soon as possible, haha!
But at times like these made me remind myself about the words of the famous author, Kahlil Gibran in his book 'The Prophet'. On the topic of children, this is what he wrote :
Children
And a woman who held a babe against her bosom said, "Speak to us of Children."
Your children are not your children.
They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself.
They come through you but not from you,
And though they are with you, yet they belong not to you.
You may give them your love but not your thoughts.
For they have their own thoughts.
You may house their bodies but not their souls,
For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow, which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams.
You may strive to be like them, but seek not to make them like you. For life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday.
You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth.
The archer sees the mark upon the path of the infinite, and He bends you with His might that His arrows may go swift and far.
Let your bending in the archer's hand be for gladness;
For even as he loves the arrow that flies, so He loves also the bow that is stable.
On another note, had lunch with my bff Aida just now at Ampang Park, and bought this tart. It's an Almond Walnut Butterscotch tart, and it's yummeh!!!! Seriously sinful! hehehe.....
